About Us

Maynard Tango Club is dedicated to tango education and social tango dancing in Champaign-Urbana. We provide a welcoming tango home for visitors, students and local residents who are interested in learning and dancing Argentine tango. Our carefully designed lessons and beautiful dance floor promise fast learning and a wonderful tango experience.

Paul Yang has spent the past ten years studying Argentine tango with a long list of tango masters. He is a talented dancer, experienced teacher, eloquent writer and frequent visitor to Buenos Aires. His blog, In Search of Tango, is a rich source of tango techniques, philosophy, history and culture. His teaching emphasizes deep understanding, good taste, solid foundation, rich vocabulary, refined musicality, and sound techniques of tango.
